S3 Access For the Masses

A few days ago I added a project to SourceForge. This is called, excitingly enough, S3-Utils. It is a command line utility that makes it easy to manage files and buckets in an Amazon S3 account. For most users, this will alleviate the burden of having to craft your own tools to deal with S3. I know I wished that such a thing had existed when I started writing these tools. I even checked SourceForge at the time. At the moment there are roughly 10 projects on SourceForge that are doing S3 stuff. So far, only S3-Utils and one of the fuse related projects have code. The tools are essentially complete -- we are using them for production work at Zettabyte Storage. If you ever wanted to play with S3, there has never been a better opportunity.
